ORIGENES spa de playa at the shores of the idyllic Vichayito beach invites you to get in touch with nature and indulge your senses. The soft hands of our professional therapists, the aromatic oils, herbs and natural potions used in our treatments will restore the harmony of your body and mind. Our areas suited for meditation, sea water pool, Jacuzzi and Vichy shower will provide a rejuvenating experience in this peaceful spot by the seashore.

All treatments begin with a soothing floral foot soak and aromatic foot massage and end with a restoring hot or iced herbal tea. All treatments include the use of the pool, walking meditation labyrinth, Jacuzzi, beach, and all facilities.

MASSAGES

Aromatherapy (1 hr.) S/. 150

A sensual and relaxing massage which combines essential oils which balance the body’s vital energy and restore harmony.
Choose amongst our different aromatic mixtures:
Energy- This mixture of lime, peppermint and cedar essential oils will uplift your energy.
New Day- The cedar essential oil reduces stress and a touch of rose and bergamot freshens up and enhances your mood.
Peace- An oriental and earthy blend of sandalwood, ylang-ylang and lemongrass. Its effect is very comforting and calming.
Purifying- This mixture of eucalyptus, lotus and rosemary will cleanse the body toxins.
Romance- Geranium, lemongrass and patchouli will place you in this especially romantic mood.
Sunset- This special mixture of geranium, incense and lavender essential oils has a sedation effect after an active sunny day.

Chakra Dhara, inspired in Ayurveda (1½ hrs.) S/. 210

This massage is an awakening for the heart, body and mind. It begins with a head massage and acupressure to calm the nervous system and improve blood flow. It follows with a deep massage with warm oils prepared with medicinal herbs to cleanse your body and harmonize your energies. A hands and feet massage free the body of any toxic blockages. It finalizes with a sensual awakening of the chakras or energy vital centers with drops of warm herbal oil on your “third eye” and four other energy points.

Hoto Shiro (Hot Stone) (1 ¼ hrs.) S/. 180

A massage which takes you to the deepest levels of relaxation using smooth stones warmed in medicinal herbal oils and eucalyptus, peppermint and chamomile essential oils. The energy of the stones penetrates the muscles calming and energizing at the same time.

Warm Herb Prakop (1 hr.) S/. 170

This therapeutic massage uses a combination of a warm bundle with medicinal herbs with specialized massage techniques to alleviate sore muscles. We use warm herbal oil/cream with rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils. Different techniques are used for alleviating the contracted muscles and pain, such as circular strokes, stretching and acupressure in the tensed areas. Your skin will feel soft and your body revitalized.

EXFOLIATIONS, WRAPS AND BODY RITUALS

Lulur of Java (3 hrs.)… S/. 375

This ancestral ritual has been used in the palaces of Java since the 17th Century for the royalty delicate skin care. It includes a soft exfoliating massage and wrap with a spiced rice powder paste and fine sandalwood and jasmine aromatic oils. We massage your head and neck during your wrap. It continues with a hydrating natural yoghurt mask to restore Ph balance. After a nice shower, we will give you an aromatic massage of your choice. Finally, you will soak your body in a warm floral bath while treated to warm herbal tea. The rose petals and aroma will produce an exquisite culmination of one of the finest and most relaxing treatment.

Hashimitzu Campo Pack (2 hrs.)... S/. 240

A Japanese ritual for new beginnings. It starts with a short soak in the warm Jacuzzi to open your pores. Then an Akasuri exfoliation takes place, removing the dead cells from the skin and activating the Chi vital energy. It follows with an energizing and purifying massage with a body coating based on raw sugar cane molasses and honey. It ends with a soothing Vichy shower which will spray water to your body through four shower heads while you are lying down.

Balinese Boreh Exfoliation* (1½ hrs.)… S/. 200

It begins with a potent aroma spice scrub which includes clove, ginger, cinnamon and other spices, excellent to stimulate blood circulation and to alleviate body aches and pains. It also clears your sinuses. The body is wrapped for five minutes for deep penetration and you will then rinse it off with a warm shower. It continues with a shredded carrot massage to moisturize and hydrate your skin. You will then relax with the gentle rain of the Vichy shower.

*This treatment is not recommended for people with high blood pressure, pregnant women, or people with sensitive skin.

Neptune Ritual (2 ½ hrs.) … S/. 345

This seaweed detoxifying ritual will truly renew your body. It begins with a sea salt and aromatic oil exfoliation to remove dead cells. We then massage your body with a seaweed mixture and wrap it in Kombu seaweed. You receive a head and neck massage and acupressure during your 20 minute wrap. After a shower, you will get your choice of either a lymphatic draining massage or a detoxifying massage. We recommend you drink lots of water after your treatment.

Papaya Thai Ritual (2 ½ hrs.) … S/. 300

This sensual moisturizing treatment is the Thai equivalent of Cleopatra’s milk baths. It begins with a soft lime and papaya scrub. You will then get a massage and wrap with a papaya paste receiving a head and neck massage during your wrap. The papaya enzyme softens and revitalizes the skin. After a warm shower, you will get a relaxing hydrating cream and oil massage. We will treat you to a dish of papaya and honey at the end of your treatment. After your treatment, you may go in the Vichy shower for a nice hydrotherapy while you lie down.

Mmm…Chocolate Ritual! (2½ hrs.) … S/. 300

A decadent and lovely ritual which will leave you full of energy and vitality. Based on cocoa, it includes an exfoliation, body coating massage and wrap. You receive a head and neck massage during your wrap. After a shower, you will get an energizing massage with a chocolate based cream. As a finale, you will enjoy a dish of fresh pineapple with chocolate fondue.

Venus Goddess of Fertility Ritual* (2 hr.)… S/. 300

This is a special treatment for expectant moms. We adapt each ritual to individual needs. The treatment begins with a gentle rice scrub. You are then massaged with a moisturizing and nourishing paste containing aloe extracts, oats, milk, and neroli essential oil, one of the finest essential oils. This wrap will calm and relax tensions and tone and enrich the skin. At this time you will receive a hands, neck, and head massage alleviating mental and physical fatigue. After a warm shower, you receive a soothing massage with a cream that improves skin elasticity and helps prevent stretch marks. You may choose between neroli and neutral aroma. The different massage techniques will help relieve backache and sore muscles, improve circulation, and drain toxins to reduce liquid retention. This ritual will leave you and your baby happy and relaxed.

*The Venus Ritual and Massage are for expectant moms in their second and third trimester and who have a pregnancy without complications. You will need to fill-out and sign a release form before treatment.

Sea and Andes (1 hr.) … S/ 170

This ritual includes a stimulating and energizing exfoliation with sea salts and Andean herb essential oils of cedron, coca and eucalyptus. After you rinse off the scrub in a warm shower, you receive a deep tissue massage with cedron, coca and eucalyptus oils. It is a valuable technique that helps the body produce more collagen while it stimulates blood flow.

Cucumber Wrap to Sooth Sunburn (1 hr.)… S/. 160

We will softly massage a body coating of cucumber, chamomile and calming essential oils and wrap it with fine gauze. You will receive a head and hand massage during your wrap. This treatment help relieve sunburn while it hydrates the skin.

Thankful Feet (1 hr.) …S/. 120

We begin by soaking your feet in rosemary water with sea salts and eucalyptus essential oil. This will relieve inflammation of tired feet. We proceed with a sea salt and mint oil scrub to remove dead cells. The ritual ends with a deep and healing feet massage and acupressure with incense and myrrh oils which will calm the nervous system and leave you walking on air.

FACIALS

All facials include cleansing, exfoliation, facial mask, acupressure of face and head; neck, shoulders, and hands massage; and moisturizing and/or nourishing and regeneration.

Honey and cucumber Facial (1 hr.) … S/. 120

This moisturizing and hydrating facial will leave your face soft and nourished with the healing properties of honey, lemon and cucumber. It includes cleansing and toning, exfoliation, a cucumber mask to tone and hydrate your skin and a facial massage with moisturizing cream. You will receive a relaxing head and hands massage while the mask settles.

East-West Facial (1 hr.) … S/. 150

This nourishing facial will leave your face soft and radiant. We begin by cleansing and toning. We then gently exfoliate your face with a combination of rice powder and carrot juice. We follow by applying a nourishing collagen and carrot extract mask. You will receive a relaxing head and hands massage while the mask settles. We end by stimulating your nerve ending with a nourishing cream massage.

ORIGENES Facial (1½ hrs.) … S/. 170

An organic nourishing, regenerating and moisturizing treatment, adapted to different types of skin. It includes cleansing (deep pores cleansing at client’s request), cucumber juice toning, a honey and olive oil facial massage, exfoliation, a rich mask with cucumber, lime juice, collagen, elastin, avocado, rice powder, and milk. You receive a stimulating head and hands massage while the mask settles. It ends with a nourishing cream face massage.

SLIMMING AND ANTI-CELLULITE MASSAGES AND WRAPS

These deep tissue localized massages and wraps include creams, mud, clay, seaweed, and medicinal herbs. We recommend that treatments are applied in packages of 10 sessions 3 times a week for best results. We advise that the treatments be coupled with healthy nutrition, lots of liquid and exercise.

FLORAL BATHS

The floral baths take place in a granite bathtub in a private room overlooking the ocean. The baths can be shared by couples.

Aromatic Floral Bath (½ hr.) … S/. 130

A warm floral bath prepared with essential oils is the best way to pamper yourself after the day activities and to soften and sooth your skin. For these baths you can choose the essential oils to obtain different results, such as ylang-ylang and jasmine for a sensual experience; peppermint, lemon and lemongrass for an invigorating bath; or lavender and sandalwood to relax. Sea salts and rose petals complete your experience.

Milk and Honey Purifying Floral Bath (½ hr.) … S/. 130

Pamper yourself with this nourishing and healing floral bath. Widely used in Thailand, this bath helps soothe, hydrate, and soften your skin with honey, milk, salts and your favorite essential oil.

Medicinal Herbs Floral Bath (½ hr.) … S/. 130

Alleviate inflammations and muscle pains, and cleanse your body of toxins with this healing bath containing eucalyptus, molle, chamomile, rosemary and lemongrass.

HOLISTIC ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS

Reiki (45 min.)… S/. 120

This is an ancient hands-on healing treatment where the therapist will channel healing energy of the universe into your body. Reiki promotes body wellbeing and provides emotional and spiritual balance. The client wears comfortable clothes and lies down on a massage table.

Astral Energy Healing (1 hr.) … S/. 200

The astral plane is the bridge between the physical and spiritual. Based on the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, this therapy focuses on the heart energy center, carrying loving energy to the areas of your body which you think are in most need of this high vibration. It is a hands-on therapy with the client dressed and lying down on a massage table.

Bach Flower Therapy (45 min.)… S/. 120

You and the therapist interact verbally to determine which negative emotions you would like to rebalance. The therapist will propose the appropriate Bach Original Flower Remedies that can restore positive emotions and a sense of inner calm. The session includes a prepared dropper bottle of the completely natural and gentle Bach Original Flower Remedies and pure water.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Treatments with some essential oils, the Boreh Ritual, and the slimming/anti-cellulite treatments are not recommended for pregnant women. Please inform us if you suffer from high blood pressure or a medical condition, or if you have a prothesis.
